We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to join our Argyll and the Islands area team in Lochgilphead.
Reporting directly to the Head of Strengthening Communities, in this key role you will contribute to the development of a vibrant and sustainable social enterprise sector in Argyll and the Islands.
You will engage with a variety of partners and stakeholders, both local and national, to enable the delivery of projects and activities that offer sustainable social and economic impacts.
A good knowledge of local social enterprise and community activity is essential. You will also possess strong financial and project appraisal skills as well as being able to establish and develop effective working relationships.
Experience of supporting social enterprise growth activity is desirable.
MODERN APPRENTICE: ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

HIE has an exciting opportunity for a Modern Apprentice to join our Thurso office.
As a HIE Modern Apprentice you can earn while you learn and still gain a professional qualification by the end of the programme.
This role provides the opportunity to gain administrative experience while undertaking workplace training to gain a Level 3 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Business and Administration.
To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with staff across HIE. The post holder will provide a wide range of administrative and project support to the Thurso Area Team which will include assisting with all aspects relating to client funding claims, management and reporting, supporting procurement processes, organising meetings and events and providing secretarial support to the Area Manager.
Candidates should have an understanding of the office environment and administrative tasks required, and have the ability to use a variety of IT systems and software.
Understanding of good customer service, strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for this role.
This post is fixed term for 18 months with the potential for extension following successful completion of the Modern Apprenticeship/SVQ.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to join the Northern Innovation Hub Project Team.
The Northern Innovation Hub (NIH) is a broad programme of support for business innovation in the Highland Council area that has been developed as part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region deal.
As the Development Manager for the Technology projects, you will be responsible for running the Technology Placement Programme (TPP) as well as project management of the Coding Academy.

To be credible in this role you will have project and financial management experience, as well as experience supporting and engaging with businesses and working with multiple funders to deliver initiatives.
